Abstract

ChatGPT, a Generative AI product developed by OpenAI, was released in November 2022. Almost immediately, its popularity began to surge worldwide, however this cause concern within the academic community. We surveyed college-level computing students to better understand how they perceive and use Generative AI, and to unpack their views of its impacts on areas like academic integrity.
